My name is Jon Ensminger. I teach piano in a private studio, and part time for Michigan Technological University. Before moving to the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan, I taught piano and piano pedagogy courses (and a handful of other courses such as Music History and Music Theory from time to time) at Northland Baptist Bible College (now Northland International University). I have degrees in Piano and Piano Pedagogy from Bob Jones University and the University of South Carolina. In 2011 I completed a second bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Michigan Technological University.

Piano Pedagogy Plus began as a website of resources for music teachers and students. I now plan to change the focus and use it as a testing ground for musical programs that work on the web - particularly games, quizzes, drills, and database applications. While some of the features (the old FlashNotes games) require the Adobe Flash Player, my recent work is focused on HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript applications that work on modern browsers and also on the iPad.

My goal is to develop a full range of useful applications that will be fun to use and helpful for music teachers and students.

I hope you enjoy your experience with this website. Please feel free to contact me!
